Which charger do you use ?
For me, it takes roughly 4 hours to completely charge a depleted Q10 battery with the BlackBerry Premium USB 1.8A charger.

I went from 28% to 97% in about 2 1/2 hrs that's as low as I have gotten the battery in my first couple days. I would assume 4 hrs for 0-100 sounds about right.

Using the original charger which comes with the handset is the best option. Rough fly 2.5 hours.

4 hours????? Let's make some maths:

    Q10 battery is 2100mah, or 2.1A

Premium charger that you talk about charges at 1.8A per hour. So you shouldn't take more than 1h and 15min to charge the phone.

When I had the q10, my modest 0.75A charger didn't take 4 hours to charge, just between 2 and 3h

To OP: buy a 2amp charger and you will be charging your q10 in roughly 1h

I use the Playbook charge and I go from 5 to 100 in about 2 - 2.5 hours on my Q10.

Probably right. As I said : "roughly". I made some maths based on approximative estimation from my last charging session. Note that there is a larger difference in time between getting to 90% and getting to 100%. The last pourcents are always longer to achieve.

And I can't refer to Device Monitor either :

But as you stated, it depends on the charger the OP uses.

18 hours is a standard on medium usage. Here, it's light usage on 2 days (and 2 nights). Heavy usage with the dreaded Android apps can take me to 9 hours max.

I've already given advices on the forum. Feel free to find it in my old posts

But you take 4 hours with a 1.8A charger?

The difference in speed when 90% is reached is pretty much negligible.

I didn't time my charging time Do you ?
See my above post with the edited screenshot. Based on my Device Monitor, charging to full takes ~2h15 (well, I count pixel, so again "roughly" Mouhahaha).

    oh ok

because you said: "For me, it takes roughly 4 hours to completely charge a depleted Q10 battery with the BlackBerry Premium USB 1.8A charger" I thought you were sure about it, and it would be very strange, it could be either faulty phone or faulty charger. But over 2h:15 is too much. It shouldn't take any more than 1h:20min to fully charge with a 1.8A charger.

Try to check your charger with a multimeter, it might not be delivering the full power

Thank you The phone is still power on when I plug it (last %) ; maybe why it take longer than advise.
To be honest, 2 or 4 hours is not an issue as I don't use my phone while charging and manage to time when it will power off
By the way, I use it to charge my playbook too (no, I didn't time a full charge with it either ).

That's way too long. My PlayBook charger charges up my q10 a lot quicker than that. Maybe an hour and 20

This is what people should expect in charging time... over 2h charge is faulty charger or phone, most probably the first one

Yes it takes roughly 4 hours to charge from zero to 100%
My Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet which has got 8100 mAH battery charges from zero to 100% in about 2 hours.

I use the charger that come with the phone. It says 850mA and it goes from 20 to 100 in about an hour 20. I dont know how much the battery can handle so I don't want to risk using any charger that is higher than 1.1A

With the charger and charging cable that came with the phone, I can go from 10ish% to full in an hour. Same in my car. I think your issues are related to your charging cables. I would definitely check and cross reference them to make sure their the. Rapid charge cables and not data cables.
