Hey all, looking to switch to the q10, I miss my physical keyboard. My 3 main phone functions are email, podcast, and flipboard. Can someone who has lived in the android ecosystem give me a run down of the pro's and con's of the switch.

Hi, welcome to CrackBerry! I would say there are a few good podcast apps, flipboard is available on BB10 now too. You'll be happy to switch I think!

Email is stunningly good. I also listen to podcasts on my phone and find the Q's speaker is great. No comment on flipboard as I've never used it.

The "Podcasts" app is horrid. It hasn't been updated since April 2013. bPod is great though.

Trying Bpod now after buying the Podcasts app, which was one of the worst apps money can buy. Terribly slow and unresponsive.

Bpod and Nobex are both great apps for podcasts.

bPod lite is pretty bad. Stalls and pauses on startup randomly. Apparently the paid app doesn't have these issues, but the free app doesn't inspire confidence.

I forgot to mention, I also used bPod but I occasionally had problems like it wouldn't keep track of where I was in the show.

Best option on there.
Developers seem to be working hard with updates.
I say get the paid tho.

Dev needs to fix the free app. Free apps are ads for paid apps. I cannot justify paying for an app when the free version is broken. Otherwise I'd gladly upgrade.

Hay ya you know Bpod is good I'm excited for some more updates but ya it needs a few more updates. I get what your saying that if the free version don't work... I just so want a pod cast app.

Q10 is amazing for email. Nobex is a great podcast app and free, too. It's what I primarily use but I'll check out bPod after reading the above comments. Flipboard is not available via BlackBerry World on the Q10. I haven't tried to download the android version because I don't actually like the app (although it worked well on my Z10 and Z30).
