    Doesn't sound like a battery problem. Have you tried a full reboot? If that doesn't work it may be a hardware issue. Is it still in warranty?

    Did you change the frame or the keyboard ?
    (you maybe forget to reconnect a ribbon)
    Did you use a new casing or a screen shield ?
    (you maybe obstruct the light sensor at the top)

    It could be the keyboard itself - in that case, buy a new keyboard.

    However, it could also be the proximity/light sensor. Does the phone's screen dim when it goes in a dark room? I suggest downloading BlackBerry Virtual Expert and running a test on the proximity sensor before you buy a new keyboard.
