You'll need a 3rd party app. I recommend ContactsImEx or ContactX. Both are available in BlackBerry World.

Isn't ContactX only VCF not CRV?

Could have sworn it did both. Apparently I needed more coffee at the time I wrote that.

    ContactsImEx it is, then.

I just posted about this in another thread, but ContactsImEx is really terrific. You can export all or specific records as either csv or vcf to anywhere - SD card, networked computer, etc. And it's free.

    ContactsImEx :

Get a gmail account and sync contacts between your bb and thunderbird and it works in both directions

no way I'll never use Google for an email service due to privacy concerns AND fugly interface of their webmail. it's the worst amongst any email provider

use it for contacts sync only then, you do not have to use the mail?

ps what interface, you use it to sync on your bb to your thunderbird, you never have to use their intrface, only make use of their service.

Sorry, but that's the worst reason ever to get a gmail account, especially if the OP doesn't already have one (which we don't know).

Using a simple free app to back up and transfer your contacts to another device/computer is faster, easier, and more secure than opening up your information to gmail.
