    my handset is openline but i cant seem to use any other sim what will i do...my friend told me that my phone is locked to my sim.

    You can try to use an unlock service. It usually costs around 30USD. A couple of websites i know:
    Unlock Blackberry - Blackberry Unlock Code - Blackberry Unlocking
    Unlock Genius - Mobile Phone Unlocking Service

    Check: Settings - Security and Privacy - Sim card, scroll to the bottom, if you have three times - unlocked - there you should be able to use your phone with any Sim.
