I don't know how to hide the menu on BB Q10, so that only my background picture is viewable. Can this even be done? I don't like the applications/icons on my main screen. Please help!

    First off, welcome to CrackBerry!

    You can't do this exactly.
You can move icons off of page 1, leaving for example a single icon, or maybe 1-2 rows of icons.

    Here's one of my screenshots:

How did you get your battery percentage & weather info on your screen like that? Looks super handy!

    Yep, like FrankIAm said...
It's the SuperBar feature of the Wallpaper Changer HD app. $1.99 in BB World.

Looks just slightly different on Q10, FYI. Awesome app!

Thanks! I just loaded this app. Have you noticed a battery drain with the app?

Honestly, I have. But then others say they haven't.
Seems to have lessened after last 1-2 updates though.

For that app to work, you need to keep it in an active frame, so it is pretty useless.

I get that you obviously don't like the idea of leaving stuff open. That's your prerogative.
But how does that equate to calling it "useless" exactly? It does just what it says it will.

And FWIW if some members read this and didn't know, it is out devs' hands currently to have BB10 apps run in background. BBRY will unlock ability to run so-called headless apps with 10.2.
ShaoSoft, dev of Wallpaper Changer HD, has already committed to adding ability to run in background as soon as it's possible.

Soon it will be a "headless" app based on 10.2.

Thanks for sharing the info about the dev, I knew about lack of APPs, but always nice to find out a dev is planning to support the new features when they become available.
