Many thanks I have just downloaded the amazon app store and now have Google + and maps. These forums are great.

I followed the link above and downloaded the amazon app and checked the open source box on the app manager in settings. Downloaded a treat and apps could be accessed as easy as down loading an app from blackberry app world.

Some apps also have direct download links for their APK files, or you can use the APK Leecher website to download free Android apps that are available on Google Play.
