How do I delete an old incorrect email addresses when I begin to write an email ?
For example, an incorrect email address from the past still comes up when I begin an email for that person, even though the correct one is now there as well.

In 10.3.1 you will have an option to remove unwanted address from the list. In the meantime, if you delete from the device all messages that have the wrong addresses they will be removed over time.

I have 10.3.1 and that is not possible to remove the addresses that they automatically suggest.
Tap on the adress, it will be highlighted and you chose "x" to close/delete it.
The suggested (grey) e-mail adresses change automatically after a while.
I don't know how modify/edit the suggested adresses!!?!

What version of 10.3.1 are you on because as you can see there's no X option on mine.
I meant just "compose" and you see a line with suggestions... there are 2-3 adresses that I can't delete. But the suggestions change after a while. I am still on 10.3.0.

that is my compose screen
But you started by typing the letter 'b'
Start a new e-mail and you see that there are suggested adresses. Those are not editable. They change though. Maybe with the frequency of usage. Once you have chosen one, but notice your error, you can highlight it and close it.

In the Hub overflow menu select Settings then recent contact management.

Neither of these people do I have in my contact list nor want them in there and there are no X's
Richard Buckley has your solution.

No he doesn't because they aren't in there to begin with.. I'm just proving a point that even though I have 10.3.1 it does NOT have an X on people I don't want to see in the suggested list.
There's no X. Just tap on the name and it gets added to the blocked list and will no longer be in suggestions. This is, of course, referring to the list in Hub -> Settings -> Recent Contact Management.

OK, so when is 10.3.1 expected to be released ?
So, are you able to delete these unwanted suggested email addresses ? I gather 10.3.1 isn't the answer.
It works for me. You have the option of getting address off the list, but it also seems that the bar for getting on the list has been raised. It was never a requirement that the address be in your contacts list, just that you had sent or received messages from the list.

I don't think it's a requirement for an address to be in contacts, the vast majority of addresses I've been blocking are your typical no reply from customer service. I'm using Z10STL100-4/10.3.1.2072.

That's what I said.

I'm concurring.

No he doesn't. Even addresses add to the block list under Recent Contact Management can remain as suggestions when you start to compose a message.
It won't be in the list of suggestions that change as you type, but it can still appear as one of the grey one-tap suggestions between the "To" and "Cc" fields.
You are using the wrong function. That page provides two functions: one blocks messages from an address; the other remove addresses from the suggested addressee list. It is documented in the Help files on the device.
A colleague of mine changed his email address completely. Had to delete from contacts. On the LINK did a "back-up." The a complete re-install of the operating system. What a chore!
This was a suggestion from AT&T tech support. Have 10.2.1.3014. Hope 10.3.X.XXXX will be better.
I could be wrong, but I think we may be talking cross-purposes here...
When I add an email address to "Blocked Contacts", that address no longer appears as an auto-complete option when I start to type an address in the "Address" field. But it can still be one of the one-tap options that appear as soon as I hit "Compose".
Thanks so much!
Didn't know that one and had one I had been dying to get rid of.
Worked like a charm.
