If one only wants to use his phone to store local contacts, not SIM or email sync, is there a way to have those options disabled by default rather than clicking on the SAVE TO everytime you want to add a contact and de-selecting what you don't want?

Nope, I also find it annoying. Hope future releases bring that functionality.

I always just hit save, and then do mass delete on the SIM once they pile up!
