    Hey guys,

I tend to go over my allotted data usage, by a good amount. There really is no reason for me to have the internet. It is costing me lots of money.

Does anyone know how I can DELETE the web browser from my BlackBerry Q10? It allows me to delete youtube rather easily, but I cannot figure out how one would get rid of the web browser to disconnect myself from the internet.
I don't want to get rid of my Data because I use Whatsapp.

    Thanks, and Kind Regards,

    MBMERRY

You can't. It's integrated into the OS. If you use Chrome and look at the bar files installed, the web browser cannot be taken out.

You need to assess what is using up your data?
    BBM? Whatsapp?
or the internet? or some other app?

    Bah.

It is definitely my internet and youtube usage taking up my data, hence my wanting to delete them.

I guess I will just have to either overcome the "im bored maybe ill look at the internet" addiction, or get rid of my phone.

    Thanks

Why not man up, take some responsibility and stop using the browser to surf the Web and consume too much data through youtube then instead of asking the same question that you've had answered in another thread?

Disconnect from the Internet? Do one of the following:

    1. Turn on Airplane Mode on your Q10.
    2. Cancel your cellular service.
    3. Sell your Q10 and get a basic phone.

Nothing less will effectively disconnect you from the Internet.

you can push and hold the browser icon, then click the trash can link - this will "hide" the browser in the trash.

I installed "simple web" browser from the app store (free). It works much better.

Parental controls. You can hide the browser that way.

Huh? Which phone & OS are you using?

    To the OP:

    Just turn off data :

You sure about deleting? BB10 browser is a core app, cannot be removed.

Yea, I did. If he turns off data when sleeping or not using whatsapp, he'll save.

Just enable parental controls, like some other poster said.

Alternatively, try one of those cheap 2G Nokias they sell at convenience stores that can only do WhatsApp.

That's like having a garaged Ferrari.

The part that says if he totally disables data, he can't use Whatsapp. The parental controls solution works here because the OP doesn't need to disable the data and the browser icon will be disabled whilst leaving data transmission for whatsapp alone.

You could try turning your connection down to 3G or even 2G. If the Web is to slow you probably won't want to use it much.

If he's using Whatsapp still, he's not disconnected from the Internet.

The parental controls option is probably the best idea though.
