Sorry if this has already been addressed elsewhere, but I did a search and couldn't find it...

I find the facility on my BB10 Hotmail that suggests other addresses to send to very useful.

I send a weekly email to a dozen or so people, and once I've input a single name, it makes selecting the others very easy.

But it also throws up suggestions of people I used to email in the past but no longer do. It also suggests a couple of email addresses that I once input wrongly.

(None of these are either Hotmail contacts or BlackBerry contacts.)

Is there a way of deleting the automatic selections that I don't want?

Maybe delete the account, reboot and add it back?

    Thanks. I've tried that, though.

My Q10 seems to recommend names of all sorts of people I have ever emailed - many of them long before I got this phone.

Reinstalling it makes no difference. Once it's reinstalled, it seems to trawl all my old Hotmail for suggestions.

Delete your Hotmail history from the website.

But I don't want to delete all my old messages. I just want to stop my phone offering me old contacts when I compose a new message.

BlackBerry 10 will index your email and build a list of addresses that you have contacted in the past as part of its suggestions, there is no way to clear this or turn this off short of deleting your sent messages from your account and wiping your device, and even then it will continue to build new suggestions in ther future.

    Thanks.

    That is what I feared.

In actual fact, my Sent items folder is empty. It picks stuff up from my Inbox, by the looks of it - including addresses that are no longer live.

    It's a bit annoying (although not life-threatening).

This issue is still there with 10.2.

I'm hesitant to grumble too much about today's BB10 update as most of it is so good, but I'm disappointed that this issue hasn't been sorted.

There is still no way to get rid of unwanted address suggestions that appear in the "To" box when composing an email.
