I've done some searching and I'm a bit confused.

Does the Q10 have single-keystroke shortcuts from the home screen, for core apps like browser, email, SMS, etc?

Typing from home screen is for "instant actions" or whatever it's called.
Basically it would equivalent to BBOS if you had homescreen shortcuts turned off, except a bit more efficient than that at messaging.

Thanks. That's an unfortunate detail. One of the great things about the legacy devices was how we could just hit 'B' to open the browser, etc. Maybe the Q20 will have it.

One way to get around this and almost as fast is go to the home screen...type whatever you are looking for in google for example...and the universal search function will immediately offer the browser to search for it as one option within the search window.
