The other day i received this picture via email :

I work for a major mobile operator and one of the testers was sitting next to my colleague and he let us play with the new Q10.

I was working in a different building at the time but my colleagues who actually handled the phone said it was very nice phone and seem to be genuinely impressed. Two of them were iPhone users and three android users and all scuttled from the desks to see and play with the phone as soon as they found out.

Knowing them and their dedication to their devices the fact that they were impressed with the the quality and responsiveness of the device shows how impressive the phone was in the flesh.

I am looking forward to the release ;-)

Did the tester(s) say if the Q10 felt like the Bold 99XX series? Not plasticky feel or cheapness? I hope it isn't the feel of the Z10 IMO, that device feels like any run of the mill cheap plastic feel touchscreen.

Wasn't there myself to verify that but from their descriptions I can say they were very impressed with the built quality

What are you talking about? The phone was launched on Jan 30 for the whole world to see.

It's was "announced".... not launched or released. Because the device is not yet on sale, there could still be an NDA in place.

The Q10 was unveiled, covers taken off, introduced to the masses at the Jan30 presentation, was it not? Not only that, but the phone was showcased by several BB reps to the media following the presentation. If it was he wouldn't be so liberal about showing the phone to others. Either that or he doesn't care. Still what a better advertisement than creating a buzz?

Man, that is the sweetest looking phone I've ever seen. I'm going to have to buy an overseas unlocked version. Can't wait for these U.S. carriers.

Blackberry is excellent again since 9900. It is a great phone. Anything better than 9900 is a bonus. Q10 or Z10 are just personal preference. Unfortunately we have to compromise either screen size or the keyboard (and the short-cuts). I am happy with any of those three, as a consumer. For Blackberry to strive, whatever people like works.

To me the Q10 feels pretty good. You can feel the metal band around the side. The back is a bit grippy. It feels super solid. If you didn't know the back was removable you would never guess.

Ha I can only imagine how you would feel!! But hot damn that phone looks absolutely gorgeous. I always thought the design of the 9900 could not be improved but they sure did it with the Q10!! The straight keyboard, as a look, has already grown me too. I want I want!

I'd love that phone in white. I cannot wait until the white comes out. Would love to see both the Z10 and Q10 in action at the AT&T store...whenever the Q10 is released in the US!
