It's heating up when switched off? I'm going to guess that your battery is ****ed. Have you tried getting your hands on a different battery and using it to see if the issue persists?

If the heat is coming from the battery, take it out of the phone and get it outside of your house. Lithium batteries can catch fire if damaged.

New battery maybe. But I would also use Device Monitor under Settings to see if there any apps running with high CPU or using a lot of the battery power. If so, uninstall, if possible.

I like my coffee  BlackBerry black! What?

I would recommend a software reinstall through the Link software rather than the Factory reset. The Factory reset just deletes everything without fixing any possible os installation issues.

It is better to reinstall the entire os.

Did you restore anything from a backup after the install? Or did you reconfigure from scratch?

It's not the battery and it's not the software. That only leaves your phone. Your phone is ****ed maybe? This is no expert advice of course but that's a reasonable conclusion.

not restore anything from backup or reconfigure. Another problem is switched off easily but not on by pressing switch. By plugging power cord it open itself and no need to press switch button.

I read the replies on this thread and all I can say is that you either:

    A. Get that phone professional repaired
    B. Buy a brand new Q10 altogether, or maybe even a Classic if you don't mind the slightly larger screen and non-removable battery.
