How did it go? Is it a strong piece of hardware? I'm a bit afraid of having it naked but I can't stand these cases!

currently naked, but I got one of those deal day cases from CB and awaiting on it's arrival.
I've been lucky I've dropped it on everything from wood floors carpet to concrete.
Physically just a few scuffs on the edges of the battery door. The great thing is its the same color all the way through. So no strange white color shows through under the scuff.
Mechanically, I think it fell so hard one time that it upset the sd card, that after not being able to see anything on the card I went to take it out and noticed it was loose.

I had myQ10 in my jeans back pocket and sat on it quite heavily and the screen cracked!
Otherwise it dropped many times but there wasn't much damage... A few scratches here and there.
It's an overall a pretty solid device to keep naked!
(I'd rather break it and fix it than having a case)
Durable nothing major so far had a few drops one bad one but no signs of damage :)

Had mine a year, dropped it dozens of times. Not a scratch! Always naked. My Z10 on the other hand, dropped it a couple times and it has a handful of scuffs on the corners and what not.
I have dropped my Z30. Does it count?
Chest high fall, no scratches, screen projector held up.

Yes, on the sidewalk, in -25 degree weather, facedown, on ice, and I didn't notice it for approximately 5 or so minutes. It came out unscathed surprisingly.

Many times!
But I've got the OB Defender on mine.
Going naked looks and feels great but isn't worth the risk to me.
If drop on concrete it will survive but metal will definitely get scuffed, scratched and dented.
Wood is fine.

I'm usually careful with my devices. I simply use a screen protector and the leather pocket. My phone actually came with a free leather swivel case but I ordered the pocket anyway. I like how sleek it is while providing protection against dirt, scratches, etc. While at home, my Q10 stays out of the case and I have dropped it a couple of times. Nothing but a small scuff on the side.

My Q10 for work has taken two good falls from 3 1/2 feet high and landed on solid concrete. It's in a Commuter case and I like taking the case off since I've owned it and it still looks new.
Mines been dropped naked at least a dozen times on a variety of surfaces. I don't like cases or screen protectors and haven't had any problems. I've dropped it hard enough on a wood floor that the battery fell out and I only have a tiny blemish on a corner.
Very sturdy but you may be unlucky. I once cracked a screen off an old android dropping it on carpet from like two feet.

I dropped mine a few times without much damage. Then I dropped it and the device would reboot randomly which got annoying. Then I dropped it screen first on the sidewalk which shattered the screen making it unusable. I now have a new one and bought a gel case to hopefully protect it next time. I love bb10 nonetheless!

I dropped mine a few time from carpet to wood floor without a scratch. Most recently though I dropped my phone approx 4 feet on concrete. Landed on the left corner and I thought for sure the screen would be cracked. Picked it up and to my relief only a couple scratches along the bezel. I roll naked as the fit, finish and feel of the phone is excellent.

I was reluctant to buy a case since this device looks soooo good naked. But I let it slip a couple times, also because without a case, the grip is not the best of all phones.
One day I let it drop when I was moving it from my nighttable, and let it off my grip in the middle of the motion, sending it dorectly to the floor at great speed. The phone hitted the floor with the upper right corner where the voicemicrophone is. It got bended a little and it affected the microphone performance". Luckiliy it fixed itself after some days, but since that day I decided to buy a nice case.
I have dropped it some more times but luckily the case has been there to protect it
I dont want to lose the phone. I sincerely recommend buiyng a case, and a screen shield if possible.

I dropped mine about 4 feet from the ground naked. And up to this day, I'm looking for instructions on how to replace the housing and where to buy the equipment.

Dozen times for my naked white one as well, some scratch and scuffs as normal but everything seem to be fine! Replacing your case while still being naked is not good idea due to you will drop it again in one day lol.

I feel like I drop my Q10 often. However, it generally lands on its back. Maybe a few hours ago, I dropped the device trying to plug it into the charger. It landed on the metal heater. No damage from the drop.

My Q10 has a matte screen protector but no case. I've dropped it several times on different surfaces (including concrete and marble) and it still works fine and looks great. Just tiny scuffing on the bezel but hardly noticeable.

I haven't dropped mine yet, but use a leather pouch / hardshell case throughout the work week, and nothing on the weekend.
I dropped my Galaxy S2 LTE six days after buying it and shattered the screen. Ever since then, I've been a lot more cautious and use cases more often.

Dropped mine once on tile, handled it just like my Z10, battery door flew off and the battery popped out... no physical scuff or scratch and I inspected it very well. unlike the plastic of the Z that dents easy.

Unfortunately I drop my Q10 all the time - fortunately I don't think I've damaged it
The only possible hardware defect is that I think the mini-USB port is playing up, as I need to make sure that the USB plug (from a charger) is tilted upwards a little
I got my Otterbox commuter on the Q10 and I have dropped it numerous times, while taking the phone out of my pocket.
There is no marking on the case, let alone the phone.
I love Otterbox cases :)
I always drop my Q10. It seems to do well on everything except concrete. My battery door has a few scuffs but they aren't noticeable. The annoying scuffs are on the bezel because a few bits of silver peek through the black paint now and the bottom part of the phone (plastic) is a bit dented.
I've never had any mechanical problems with it though.
