I am pausing a purchase of Q10 because of no official Japanese input locale in BB10 OS.
I am a Japanese who resides outside Japan.
The only available Japanese IME is gJapanese. Although it is thru copy/text.

Another app by same author RocoIME has stopped downloading from BB App store as per author's blog.

I just wonder if anyone has tried installing "Google Japanese input" for Android into BB10.

I do not own Q10 myself but you can convert Android app for BB10 app right?

I have never heard someone who is using "Google Japanese input for Android" for BB10 or
"Simeji" for Q10 or Z10. So i am doubtful if it is usable.

Does anyone knows about that?

i tried it and it did not work with Q10 or any BB10 OS.
I sideloaded Google Japanese input.
During installation it asks language locale "Japanese".

BB OS10 cannot select "japanese" of course.
So it stops there.

I just use gjapanese instead to input Japanese.
It takes sometime to get used to it.
But now it became essential part of my life with Q10 for doing business and communicating
with Japanese friends...

Ditto . . . Google Japanese Input cannot be enabled on my Z10.

Just update and you will have Japanese input. Works very well.

Yup! I agree. Update to 10.2 and you have the Japanese text input. It is newly added.
