Does anyone know if the new Google Hangouts apps will affect how Google Talk BB app works? Currently, my native BB10 Google Talk app works quite well, compared to the OS7 version.

Does BB have plans to upgrade BB10 Goolge Talk app to a Google Hangouts app, or will it just stay Google Talk?

Does it work if we access hangout using the browser?
I know a lot of other sites work directly in the browser, but I also remember hangout requiring some plugin in firefox, so i'm not completely sure.
Either way, I'm sure someone can come up with a google hangout browser or something

i found a hangouts apk here... Google Hangouts APK - 1.0.0.675749 - Huawei Ascend G300 Apps, Mods & Themes - MoDaCo

and tried converting it using this web-based apk2bar converter... PlayBook .apk to .bar converter

but it gave me an error message saying widgets and keyboard (and so on) can't be converted.

have to wait for a native bb10 client, but maybe a different browser might work? will try opera the next couple of days to see if you can start a hangout via the browser. that would be slick. no need to install anything.

has anyone seen a chrome port for bb10?

Anyone know if this should be a question for Alec Saunders? Or someone else within BB? Without the Android runtime update JellyBean, I don't think an Android port of Google's app is in the cards..
