    Hello all,

I'm intending to get a second hand Q10, a set which is (according to the seller), briefly used, but comes without warranty as it is an "export set".

is there anything I should look out for? Anything in particular regarding the Q10?

    Thanks all!

Have a look if the screen sits firm on the side of the ports. There are several units where it doesn't and I can tell you it is annoying.

Check out if it is the right modell for your carrier's frequencies.
Try out every single key on the keyboard, check if there are any typing issues.
Check if both cameras are working, open the camera app and select "switch camera" to use the fron cam.
Check if phone and loudspeakers are in working conditions and, if possible, if the microphone works.
Check the battery door whether it sits tightly.

Last but not least take a look if there are any visible damages on the display and the housing!

    Double-typed and posted with a BlackBerry Q10.

Also check the space button to make sure that it doesn't stick or squeak when pressed slightly off center and test the snugness of the back cover.

Make sure there is no sticky sugary syrupy substance in and around the keys.

I agree with battery door, check it. I just bought a used Q10 and most of the white ones i saw had loose battery door but this worked out well for me. I bought a white one with a tiny crack at the very top of screen by the ear piece and a slightly loose battery door for all of $100.00

When my new housing and screen arrives I'll have a "new" on the outside Q10 for under $200.00

Check if the cellphone wasn't stolen or something like that. Check the keyboard although it's hard to get it broken and check the screen if it's working properly.

Check the space bar, keyboard in general. I will be replacing mine this evening due to no space bar click.

Run the BlackBerry through BlackBerry. Virtual expert to check for the functions of the phone! And also make sure the little white stickewr on battery is not pink. If it is pink it means exposed to water!
