Would be a nice lure to give bb10 phones a free hotspot like Palm Pre 2 did on Verizon something like this would lean more people toward a bb10 device, just think they need to have some insensitive an edge that would be a worth having with out having to change anything but making a deal with the carriers.

Also would help it the sales people would be more positive about bb10 phones.

The bad news is that would be up to the carrier's discretion, not BlackBerry's. The good news is that some carriers already offer free hotspot included in their plans, like T-Mo.

I don't think they'll touch it as much of that is left up to the carriers now...

EDIT: Just to clarify it is BlackBerry's decision, it will always be their decision as a device maker that they have this option. It is also the carriers decision to prohibit devices that don't meet their "standards" on their networks. Handset makers as the OP mentioned had control over this better years ago; however, as I originally stated that is no longer the case.
