I have a 2013 Ford Explorer with Sync. I recently got a Q10. All worked great until the last Q10 update. After the update, Sync deleted the existing phone book and did re-download the Q10 phone book. I tried a manual phonebook download but still no phonebook on the Ford Sync. Any ideas?

No idea but would like to hear. I don't have a Ford with their new touch screen system but I know a friend of mine has the new EDGE and his phone downloaded and synced the contact list perfectly with the Edge. I moved my contact list over to my 2012 MBZ 350 with no problem from my old 9810 but haven't updated and I would like to know how to do that with the Q10. Hope someone can help you as I'm sure others would like to know as well. Good luck and please post findings.

It turned out to be an easy fix. I deleted the phone from Sync, re-connected it to Sync, and let it automatically download the phone book again. No more problems.

The text-read feature works consistently now on Sync with the Q10 -- this didn't always work properly with my old Torch

The biggest problem with Ford Sync is the lack of published material. Ford brags that the system recognizes over 10,000 commands, but the website shows only 20 or so commands. Sort of like giving someone the ABC's and expecting them to know Webster's dictionary. I wish there was a way to simply use the Ford Sync as a remote display, speaker, and microphone. The Q10 voice controls work very well.

I've had my 2013 Ford for over a year now and I'm pretty good with Sync, however a published list would help greatly

My 2013 Ford F150 with the My Ford Touch works great for voice, bluetooth streaming and SMS messaging - but that's it. I no longer get the "My Car" feature to work - i think it worked last in one of the 10.1.xxx software versions for me. Have you noticed that at all? I've done the Security Wipe on the phone and Master reset on the Ford sync, all the updates - still same problem persists.

I have Z10, software version 10.2.1.537 and OS version 10.2.1.1925. My Ford Sync just got updated as well, so at this point I don't know if it's just me, or if all Ford owners are experiencing this too. It looks like the Object Push Protocol no longer connects to the Ford Sync, under the Bluetooth settings of the BlackBerry, at least for me.
