The thing is verizon now has prepaid monthly plans for 60 bucks for smart phones(including the q10). I considered that option but I wasn't sure I wanted a white one that bad. I had a white 9900 so I thought why not go with a black one this time around?
As a matter of fact the verizon q10s go for less than the tmobile ones but... I am on a 30 dollar a month plan. 5gb data/unlimited text and 100 mins of talk. I use skype to make calls so I never really waste my mins unless it's something super important.

As a matter of fact, Verizon's $60 plan is for 3G only. Verizon is a rip-off.

I know to each is his own, but I think the black is sexier. I work in a factory and worry about dirt getting stuck in the small notches that only the white version has. The black has that glass weave that should repel dirt.

@ce71: is that so? If that's the case, I'm glad I didn't switch as my tmobile $30 plans works great for me. The speeds I get are 4G for sure, however, no LTE though. Maybe it's my area? I'm in the metroplex

That must be your area. TMobile doesn't discriminate speed based on your plan. You should be getting LTE, unless of course, there is no LTE in your area. If there is a TMobile store nearby, you should consider stopping in an inquiring.

BTW, I should not have said Verizon is a rip-off. That was wrong of me. I apologize to any Verizon users. Really. We all have our own individual needs, and in my specific situation, I simply do not want to pay double. That's all.

I looked into doing that, but it seemed quite difficult to achieve for a neophyte. I bought decals but it looked good in the back but weird in the front as the keyboard remained black.

So I caved and bought a white SQN100-1.
I've replaced a cracked screen on a 8900 a few years ago with the help of a youtube videos but looking at videos to make my SQN100-5 white made it seem quite complicated and I looked around and could not find any shops to change the casing if I purchased white parts.
