    Hi all,

I am new to the Crackberry forums. I had Blackberries from 2008 - 2012. I had the Curve, Bold 9000, 9700, 9780, and Bold 9900. I then switched to Android phones for a little over a year. But when the Q10 was released, I was immediately intrigued and just bought it a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, I was wondering whether anyone had heard whether Seidio, Mugen, or any other company was planning to release an extended battery for the Q10? My battery life is decent, but not great. If one of those companies would develop a battery with over 3000 mAh, I wouldn't mind sacrificing the look of the phone in order to not worry about my battery dying on me towards the end of a long day.

I've seen the Blackberry battery charger bundle, but would much prefer a battery (even if large and ugly) that does not need to be removed or charged. Thanks!

Hi guys - just an FYI, I emailed Mugen to ask whether they are working on developing a larger battery for the Q10 (larger than the 2200 mAh). I got the below response:

    Thank you for your email!

    Yes, working on it

Please contact me if you need any additional info.

    Best Regards,

    Nikolai

I do like the mugen batteries! A nice and fat 3300 mah battery would do nicely!

Not that my Q (or my Z, for that matter) are lacking - but more power is always good!

Why not just get the charging bundle? It preserves the sexy of the Q10 and you never have to plug your phone up to charge...

You're right - and that's actually what I've done! The charging bundle does double duty for my Q10 and GS4. It's a really nifty product, actually. But still, I do forget it some times, and having a bigger battery is always good :-)

Agreed. While it is nice to keep the Q10 looking all trim, sometimes I don't want to carry around multiple batteries or devices. I just want that one device, even if it is bulkier. Regardless, this gives us as consumers options, and I can't argue with that!

I'd buy a 3000 for sure. I can usually make it thru the day now, but not having to worry about it would be great.

I do have chargers in my car and truck, but what about when out with friends.

Is that a charger in your pocket or are you just happy to see me!?

I have the charging bundle and it's awesome!

I run LTE, bluetooth, and have the screen on full brightness all day. When it hits 10%, I switch.

    So nice and simple.

Subscribing! An extended battery is a must, 3000 mAh minimum. As long as the Mugen door is as solid as the OEM door, I am in for the win (Seidio has always disappointed me with their flimsy doors).

    Hello everybody,
I saw the extended battery sold by Mugen.co (4400 mAh).
Does anyone of you bought it ? How long does it last ?

I can barely finish the day with the standard one but the fat bat is really expensive and...fat.

Quite a few Q10 users said that they ordered it, I believe that there might be one review in the forums. Other than that, no one has posted.

Reviews for this are thin on the ground, but most suggest that the Q10 doesn't calibrate the battery life correctly when one has been fitted.

So it does seem to extend the battery life, but after a certain point you can't gauge how long you have left with the Q10s stats - reports of it sitting on red but lasting for hours after that.

I see, the wrong calibration is the weak.

Why not just buy the BlackBerry Battery Charger Bundle for Q10?
    https://forums.crackberry.com/e?link...token=lcNlXfLu
It's not that much trouble to swap a Q10 battery and it also has a handy microUSB cable if you want to piggy-back to your handset - you'd also be further supporting BlackBerry
