My gf has an Android, literally every single emoji she sends me comes up on my Q10 in full color. So why in the F do we not have support to send emoji's? If I send her the stock bb ones in the keyboard, they just show up as a bunch of characters on her phone. I love this phone so much but man, it's just these simple to implement but massively overlooked things that drive me insane about Blackberry.

BlackBerry felt the licencing fees had no return on investment I suppose.

You can use an app to obtain them, and then map various emojis to your keyboard with word substitution.

    Here's a step-by-step process.
    1. Copy whatever emoji you want. Find it or have someone send an emoji to you, then copy it.
    2. Settings --> Language and Input --> Prediction and Correction --> Word Substitution
    3. Hit the plus button to create a new shortcut. For example, you've copied a smiling emoji. On the upper field, say you put "" or anything easy to remember, and on the bottom one, paste the emoji.
    4. Now on any place you can type, you can just type in "" and then the emoji should replace the text when you press the space bar.

It's long and complicated at first, but once you get used to it, you'll be able to have all the emojis you want.

Thanks everyone, these are all great ideas, I've tried the 3rd party apps but it's just so ridiculous that it's not integrated into the phone. I've tried installing 3rd party keyboards using Google Play but they don't want to load for the Q10. Hopefully BlackBerry fixes this, clearly if we can receive them we must be able to send them.

Unless I'm missing something, this is not possible for the Q10. For the touch screen keyboards maybe like the Z10, but every 3rd party keyboard I've tried to install doesn't work on the Q10.
