I recently bought a Sennheiser CX-275s since I wanted to get earphones with mic finally.

When I first connected it to my Q10, I was very disappointed in that the ear phone sounds muffled. And even if I raise the volume, the music gets "loud", but the quality is still bad.

I originally expected it to be the ear phone's problem, but when I used the earphone on my laptop. It was so clear to me that the earphones sound a lot better on my laptop (playing the same song).

Why does this happen, the mic works fine on the Sennheiser, it is just that the earphones sound really bad when connected to my Blackberry.

do you have the headphone audio boost on in the main volume settings, try with it and with out, might help

Could be that the plug isn't seated correctly in the port. Is the phone in a case that may prevent the plug becoming fully engaged? try pulling the plug out a little while listening, if there is an increase in volume on one channel or another, that may be the problem.
See how far in the plug sets on your laptop and see if there is a difference from the phone.
