Ever since going to 10.2.1, I find that sometimes typing, I get letters doubling up, press m and get mm etc.

I thought this may have been me, but was getting it quite often, which never happened pre 10.2.1, then a colleague with a Q10 mentioned it the other day that they were getting it too since the update - anyone else got this happening and/or know a fix?

solution is to replace the keyboard, its under warranty. I have yet to see anyone with this issue have it not be resolved by a new keyboard.

I get the double spacing once in awhile that turns in to a period. Not sure why thou.

It could simply be timing... the keyboard went bad after upgrading is merely a coincidence...

So far...... from what I've seen people have been complaining about this since 10.2.1... are you really calling this a coincidence????

Show me multiple people who had this problem PRIOR to upgrading!

I noticed this after my 10.2.1 upgrade as well. It happens very rarely right now (knock on wood), but sometimes ill get a period or a double letter, no letter in specific though, just random ones.

I too believe it is a software problem as many who have sent the phones into a repair shop to replace the keyboard, only find out that the problem returned on the replaced keyboard. And it did start with the 10.2.1 updates. I'm sure that someone is busting their **** in BB to correct it and that one of these leaks will have the fix on it soon. I'm going to live with mine as it isn't that bad yet. Keep the faith, its not the first time there has been a bug that took BB a while to correct, but they always do correct them.

Good point FCSC! I actually now remember having it happen once on my 9810 Torch. But a software update and wipe seemed to cure it as it never happened again. I absolutely believe its a software issue as are many of the problems that raise their ugly head. Let's hope the next update or Leak addresses it--if anyone can figure it out. Corrupt coding no doubt.

I mentioned in another tread that I believe the issue is a software bug due to the fact that when the double type happens, you can retype the same word without error. A hardware issue would produce the same error constantly.

It's a hardware issue. Those that are having the double typing issue try tapping the double typing alphabet, I'm sure even a slight tap on the button will show up on the screen.

My friend had this issue on his Q10, the "a" key would double type, even the slightest touch on "a" would show a result on screen. He changed the keyboard and now the problem is gone.

It's definitely a hardware related issue.
