    Hi all,

Just wondering for a friend here in England who will be going back to China soon.

He fell in love with the blackberry q10 and wants to buy one to take home as they don't sell them in China.

But we have a few questions....

Will it support td-lte coverage? (4g network)

Will a q10 purchased in the UK ( unlocked) work automatically in China?

Google is your friend. GSM World Coverage Map- GSM Country List by frequency bands

Don't know if the td-part is special though but in general go for a phone that supports your band

    Hello there,

I have brought my Q10 to Shanghai, China for business before and it worked fine for me. But, I am not sure about 4G/LTE as I switched my network connection to 3G as it conserve battery life.

So yeah, the Q10 works fine in China.

    Hope this helps.

Go to a China Mobile store to top up. You can say: Were yao chong zhi (the last syllable of the word bridge or George). The word top up in chinese is ??. If you are in a big city like they may well speak English.

China Mobile is using TD-LTE for its 4G network and TD-SCDMA for 3G which are both not supported by Q10. So if you insist on using a China Mobile SIM card you will only have 2G.
You can buy a China Unicom sim card, China Unicom using WCDMA 3G and FDD-LTE for 4G both a supported by Q10.
