Personally, I have the Q10 for work and the Z30 for personal use. So yes, 2 separate BBID but also 2 very separate groups of contacts. Same goes for consequently having 2 numbers for whatsapp.

I don't tend to use many apps on the Q10, so the problem of having to pay twice for an app hasn't presented itself, although in theory you would have to

A 9800 which incidentally has no data at this moment as I am using the sim from the z in it. Wish I kept my 9810 but this will do till I get a radio for the z10

This seems to be fairly popular. So...two separate BBIDs? is it frustrating to have BBM only come in on one phone or the other, or do you group chat everything? Do you have to pay twice for each app purchase?

I thought of 2 BBIDs but decided to go on a single BBID. Reason is so that the two devices could share the same apps purchased. Q10 is my main and de-facto device to pocket due to its size and portability and hence will be my BBM device. Z30 is optional.

The trade off will be the inability to experience natural sound on bbm for the Z30.

I was deciding between a Z30 vs iPad Mini, but went for the Z30 because i didn't want to hold anything when i go for my appointments. with the Z30, i can slip it into my back pocket, and its screen although not as sharp as the Q10 and smaller than the iPad Mini, it still allows me to view excel files when i need to. So yea, I got the Z30 to use as a mini-mini tablet.

Switched over from Q10 to Z10 thinking I will go back and forth but I haven't looked back to Q10 yet. Lol. I'm in love with this virtual keyboard.

IPhone 4s. But from this Fri forwards, it will be a Z30. I need one aside from the Q10 for my multimedia fixes.

Only Q10. It fulfills all my tech needs. Used to use my Note 10.1 for note taking at meetings. After the release of BlackBerry Express I now do this on the Q10. This is a super app! It's like bing-bada-bing I have a full screen presentation after a meeting :-) sorry to drift off topic.

8x that I use half the time due to homegrown apps that help manage my company (e.g., past due AR, consultant utilization, etc.). Windows 8 apps are wayyyy easier to develop.

So you have to buy old apps again? This doesn't seem to be a problem with Google and android apps when I ran from my tablet and nexus phone.

You can share a BBID on both a phone and a Playbook, but not two phones or two Playbook. (well, you can, but it's glitchy because you're not supposed to).

I share my Z30 BBID with my PlayBook, and so far all the apps bought on one have been free to download on the other.

In theory, I would have to pay again to put apps on the Q10. In my particular case it's not a problem as I don't use many apps on my Q10 and those that I do are free. The only apps that I've paid for tend to lend themselves to the larger screens on the Z30 or Playbook (like games, for example)

I hate to admit it, but my day to day phone is an iPhone 5s. I switch back and forth between my beloved Q10 and a Z10. The Z10 has a slightly better OS than the Q10, and while the big screen on the Z is sweet I really love the Q10 form factor. BlackBerrys were my fist love in smartphones.

I went from a bunch of dumb phones > Palm Treo phones > BlackBerry. I've had probably a dozen BlackBerrys over the years and have come to appreciate their purpose-driven design. I've also dabbled with Android phones, Palm's Pre (WebOS), WP8 (Nokia), and now an iPhone. Thing is, I'm a Mac user. It wasn't until the last update to BB10.1 that I was able to use iCal on my Q10. Also, having access to my old filed emails (I have 45 or 50 subfolders for 3 accounts) was not possible until recently on BlackBerry. Things got complicated for me recently and this access was crucial. Sometimes I need to refer to a 2-year old email and this was possible only on my iPhone, not on my Q10.

I'm hoping 10.2 comes soon to Verizon Q10's and with it the compatibility that fits my hectic lifestyle.
