Personally I like that it doesn't slip when I'm holding it. But I like the leather. To me the pleather looks and feel more premium. But I would have to say that some of my guy friends like the carbon fiber look and it's actually very unique but i'm a woman and i'm just not into carbon fiber unless on my mtb or in the car.

While I do like the glassweave, alot, I would like the option of a leather back aswell. I've been looking for aftermarket ones, but haven't found any yet.

I think the glassweave looks very nice, and feels nice too, but I always have the fear in my mind of scratching it and ruining the feel of it, which would mess with my OCD (and a external protective case isn't an option for me). If a battery door like that of the 9700 Onyx was made for the Q10, I'd be all over it.

I like the glassweave. I can't tell if it's durable enough to not get scratched up from placing it on hard surfaces, or if it just hides it really well. In either case, I like the end result. I've never had a device that had "pleather", but I would be concerned with it wearing out quickly. While I like the look of weathered leather, pleather looks terrible used.

I'm also a fan of leather. It just feels unique and that you have a premium device.

It also gives it a more personal feel. Rather than a chunk of plastic or metal that phones tend to feel like.

Due to the way BlackBerry has implemented NFC, the back cover material doesn't really matter too much, of course they're not going to make it out of rocks though.

Ok, the leather is not real leather, and even if it was, it's over plastic so it's only as strong as plastic (and cheap feeling). While the glass weave is strong like fiberglass and it is a premium material in my opinion.

I will throw a third option in here...the rubberized Z10 backing! I LOVE IT!! doesn't slide, feels great, and looks awesome!!

To put it in perspective...ill be charging my Z10 and the chord reaches to the arm of my chair...the Z10 easily stays in the spot I put it, when I charge my LG Optimus G (which is the glass back) the LG I will balance it and it will ALWAYS slide off the chair!
So rubberized back is awesome!

If BB could offer different backs for the same phone that would be awesome! Like a carbon weave for the Z10 as well as the rubberized back!

I find it funny in this day and age to hear that leather feels more premium than the glass weave.. it's not the 70's maybe a dice fluffy charm for the lanyard would help lol I kid and I'm born of the 70's I'm all down with the funk and disco trust it.

Personally Glassweave offers butter wear and tare, better resistance to oils and prints, better grip in warm or cold weather (remember BlackBerry is a Canadian company first and foremost and we've seen plenty of nights of -20 Celsius this winter in Toronto and Waterloo is on the worse side of the horseshoe).

Yeah glassweave hands down!

PS: should anyone relate to leather like the premium feel of that in an exotic or luxury cars... I have one word for you.... Alc�ntara! it's a synthetic not genuine. No point using fake if you want that quality premium sensation!

Have you felt the glass weave? It's also rubberized, and it isn't plastic...

Very interesting all have varying opinions. I hope BlackBerry will throw in something like before a leather pouch for high end phones instead will be a leather battery door so we have two kinds of battery door we can switch when we like.
I used to have a Samsung phone (this is before android era) when I bought the phone it comes with a nice leather flip cover also a battery door cover ( of course not real leather but still nice). I like my Q10 naked but it would be nice to add some accessories or a new accent into it without opening the phone.

I love the glass weave! It looks very cool and feels premium. It also doesn't slip and is very durable.

Sometimes, I think that the leather can look tacky, but if it's done right then I wouldn't mind.
