DIY refurbished Q10
So, we're back! After getting a Z30 I decided to leave the Q. The collection of Z10, Q10 and Z30 was a bit too much to defend. So I decided one device had to go. And since the Z has almost no resale value I decided the Q had to leave.
So I used the Z30 and I soon realised that the Z10 would be collecting dust from now on. I decided to sell that one as well and managed to get a reasonable price for it.
Now I was back to only one device. Thus I could defend getting another... But I didn't want to spend to much on it. And so the plan arose to get a scratched and banged Q and fix it myself. How hard could that be and I would definitely not have double type issues...
So I found a screen crashed and half paralysed keyboarded Q10. For 40 bucks that would be a reasonable gamble. Then I started the interwebs to find a screen, keyboard, and housing. 35 bucks extra and the waiting from the China delivery started.
Two weeks later the items started arriving. First the housing and keyboard and the screen one and a half week later.
This is how I started.

After about half an hour of tinkering this is the result.

A brand new Q! So I'm happily tapping the keys again. Can't wait for the Visa, I truly hope that one will combine both worlds. Screen estate and keys with normal portability.
