As your profile doesn't list your location or carrier, I'm just throwing this out there...
Most carriers offer an app that will draw directly from your account info and let you know your status -- usage of data, SMS and voice.
For instance, I'm with Telus in Canada, and use the Telus app to keep track of the whole family's usage.

Thanks for the app recommendations! Guess there's no "hidden" counter that comes with the phone...and unfortunately, my telco does not have an app for the BB.
