One thing that has been building in its annoyance is the battery cover on my black Q10. It has never seemed to fit quite right, and creaks and moves a bit when I reposition it in my hand. At first it was livable, but it has been getting progressively worse as time goes on.

Question for the forum: would replacing the cover door with a new OEM one help, or is it the housing that it mates to that is the issue? Perhaps others have had this problem and solved it and can enlighten me as to how!!

Replacing the battery door on my Z10 definitely fixed my creaky door.

Same goes for mine. New door feels like a new device.

Buy an Otterbox Commuter case, and you won't ever get to see or hear the battery cover again!

Mine started this also. I just cut some paper the size of the battery folded it twice and it feels really solid now

Throw a business card right under the cover when you replace it and that should make it fit a little more snug with less creak

Haha my battery cover has been sort of stuck closed since I put the sim card in. I tried opening it a few times and failed. Then again, I have not really tried prying it open. Also, I do not really care for thos at all, lol. At least it sits in place firmly...

Why do people resort to those paper under the cover method, when they can just claim a warranty?

It is a clear manufacturer defect, there are plenty of Q10s who do not have creaky back cover.
