Firstly go to this mode: phone, keypad and enter number 123 456 789. Now try to add 0 between 3 and 4. My phone is unable to do that. I think it is very important that it can because it saves time in editing the number when we are roaming while saving $$$$. Any suggestions ?

Well, you don't pay anything till the send button is pressed, so don't press it till you backspace and correct the number.

If you are short on time then don't start phone app at all. Just type the phone number in the search field on home screen and then touch call. If you made a mistake during typing then shift the cursor to the place where you want to correct.
The phone application is not a dialer (even though it can be used for that) - it is supposed to give access to speed dial and log history.

In general, if you want to achieve a task fast then start from the magnifying glass on home screen.

I international roam a lot n use to edit the numbers or else your roaming bill is a big balloon
