Hi. I have a Z10 on Verizon which I purchased because I couldn't wait for the Q10 to replace my 9930, which was working great. I'm thinking of getting a Q on my family plan under a new phone number and making that my primary phone.

1) I assume all my Z10 data will sync over to the Q10 if I do a restore from my Z10 backup file?
2) I assume if I purchase another license of the apps I have on my Z, and install them on the Q10, the data for those apps will also sync over if I do a restore? (e.g. Slicktasks, Moneyplus, etc.)

1.- If the Z is on a higher software version, then there is going to he some trouble. If not, then it's cool.

2.- Don't purchase another license! You keep the existing ones.

So I can keep the same licenses so long as I keep the same BBM ID, which I plan to.

What kind of problems will I run into if the Z10 OS is higher than the Q10 OS? I was thinking of upgrading my Z OS in the meantime to 10.2.

OP: you probably are already aware of this, but the selection of apps for the Q is less than the Z. So you may find that some of the apps you have on the Z are not available on the Q.

I have both the Q and the Z. I restore data back and forth (both on same os version). I keep the same BBID on both. I swap my sim back and forth, but here lately it's been all Q all the time. Go for it OP!!!

What about my memory card? I have it encrypted and am wondering if in the beginning, I can just pop it out of the Z and use it with the Q...?

It has music, pictures and MS Word, Powerpoint files, etc. It also has data assiciated with some apps I have on my Z, which I will download to the Q.

I don't know if the encryption key carries over with the backup and restore, but you are better off decrypting it and then putting it on the Q.
