This is my first time posting on crackberry so forgive me if I'm doing this incorrectly. My questions is this...there is a folder in my file manager on my BB Q10 that is called Android. When I try to delete it it says "permission denied". Is there a way to get rid of it? Not sure where it came from. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Make it a great day!

It sounds like you synchronized your Gmail account to your device so to get rid of the file you would need to delete the account.

I deleted my gmail account but I can't delete the file...is there another account that I should try removing. I did have a Droid RAZR two years ago but I don't know how that would have shown up on my BB. Thanks again in advance.

The ANDROID folder on your device is from the Android Runtime. You can NOT remove this folder.

As Mobile stated, you cannot remove it nor, would you want to. BB10 will be able to run Android apps very soon and already can if sideloaded, so its there for a purpose. BTW, Welcome to the forums!

    Hey everyone,

I have the same problem but in my case I own a Z10. I've been trying to delete a file inside a folder that I created and it won't let me. It says permission denied. This file is from a website (page) that I had save to read it in the offline mode.

I tried attaching a capture of my problem but it never loaded the picture. :s

If it's not the android BB Folder you could try Root Browser(Install it from snap or another android store). It helped me removing an unwanted folder and some files.

    Or Ghost Commander?

Once I had a similar problem. And the cause was the sd card.
