Hello All - Hope someone has experience with this...I'm on the last official AT&T OS 10.2.1.3014. If my phone is password locked, I can't make calls using voice control with a wired headset. Voice control won't even initialize when locked. Can't press the button and hear music either. If the music program is running already, I can pause/play and skip tracks...adjust volume. If the music program is not open, I can't start it up by pressing pause. Anyone else run into this?

These are security features. If someone got access to your phone they would be able to make calls by just plugging in a headset. You can do this with a Bluetooth headset provided it has been previously paired.

Understood...thanks for the reply. BlackBerry could provide the option to "allow calls when locked" as they had done with the legacy devices. I'm not a fan of bluetooth headsets...I prefer the simplicity of a simple plug-in/unplug pairing. Hopefully someone over at BlackBerry is reading this for future updates!

I know a lot of people believe that BlackBerry reads Crackberry. I read CB but don't see everything. If you really want this feature you should head over to the Beta Zone, or get the application and make the suggestion.

Thanks again...I will do exactly that. Wouldn't it be cool if the voice control lady prompted you for the numerical password? That way I'd eat my cake and have it too....

With Bluetooth headsets, I was having the same issue until I found the option within BlackBerry Assistant options. I'm on 10.3.0 with my Passport. I know it's in Spanish, but you can find the same option on your menu. You need to have paired a Bluetooth headset previously.

I know you're trying it with a normal headset, but perhaps it can work too.
