    G'day all,

    Did the 10.3.1 update via Blackberry Link and all seems ok, except that typing the first few letters of an app no longer works with Blackberry Assist. I'll get everything else but the app icon to launch the app. I've gone into the settings of Blackberry Assist and selected/deselected "Applications" but keyboard launching apps seems broken. I'm hoping that I've managed to miss a setting somewhere or completely misunderstood how 10.3.1 apps are now launched via the keyboard. The images below refer to typing in "Bpod" which is a podcasting app. Same thing happens for BBM, Stocks etc. Seems I'm fine if it's Evernote I'm wishing to open Multiple soft resets done (6 now). Leaving the wipe and start from scratch as a last resort.

    You've just to wait for the new OS to settle.

    But if you often use this app, better to use a shortcut. Got to Settings > Shortcuts and Speed dial.

    Strange experience waiting for an OS to settle. Thanks for the shortcuts tip. Bridges my issue for that wait

    Looks like patience didn't win out on this. Ended up using the Autoloader to re-install the OS. The keyboard app launching returned but disappeared again after I restored from my backup on Blackberry Link. Looks like I'm gonna have to do the restore bit by bit or just start again from scratch by loading everything manually again.

    After a number hours, voila! Got it working. Did a custom restore with just Apps and media. Additionally I deselected any Blackberry App. Happy that the Q10 is back to normal and twice as fast as it was when I did the initial upgrade.

    facing the same problem. if somebody figures out how this can be fixed without having to do a restore, i would be very much grateful

    UPDATE after the 10.3.1.1779 update arrived this morning, I can search apps now, so the update appeared to have fixed it
