I've been trying to delete/uninstall iGrann for awhile now just so I can get the update, but it seems that BBworld will not allow me?

Everytime I try and delete/uninstall it says "Error- couldn't delete iGrann" or something like that..

I really need some help here guys.. It's been doing this since I installed iGrann when it was first approved into BBWorld.

Also, I've seen that doing a device reset (volume up + down) might help, but idk if that deletes anything off my phone? Would this work?

Resetting the phone doesn't delete anything on your phone. I'd give it a go because it sounds like something got screwy

Yeah I'm not sure what could've happened. I can delete all the other apps.

Could it be because I left the .bar file on from the original iGrann and just downloaded the BBWorld app when it was released? I was told that going straight from the .bar to official app wouldn't harm, but I have a feeling that did something..

if you go in your Device Monitor under Storage, do you see the app in that list ? if yes select it and delete it from there. Sometime just by deleting the icon on your phone does not delete the app completely, so it would be the first place I would check.

Just did that.. did the same thing as deleting from my home screen. Reinstalled, still nothing. This is aggravating.

I'm having the same problem as the original poster. Any help would be much appreciated as igrann is so much smoother than the Android port of Instagram! Thanks in advance!

have you tried logging in to BBW on the desktop? Free & Paid BlackBerry Apps for Smartphones & Tablets - BlackBerry World sign in and see within your apps, and see if it pushes it to the phone.

Thanks! I consider myself an experienced BB user, but didn't know you could do that. It's recognizing the app as installed. I installed on the desktop version, then deleted, then reinstalling now. After waiting for my Z30 to install the app, the progress bar in app world is stuck at the beginning and not moving. Wonder how you can delete an app differently as I'm out of ideas.

Settings > app manager > device monitor > storage

but if it's stuck, give the z30 a reboot and leave it ALONE for a good fifteen minutes then re do the above

Hate to revive this, but I tried everything...

My iGrann was not downloading images so I was going to try to delete it and reinstall to correct the problem. Well I deleted it from the folder by long press and then reset the phone (volume buttons). It was gone from my folder, but I go into BBWorld and it still shows "OPEN" under the app name and it's installed. I try to uninstall there and it goes into an endless spinning circle. I reset the phone again and tried to just delete it. Same spinning circle. App doesn't show on my BBWorld when I log into the PC site.

Any advice?? This is really annoying.

Just an FYI, I ended up having to security wipe the device and start from scratch, all I did was import pictures and contacts.. no apps.

^Yikes! Glad I didn't have to do that. I will post this here for future reference! Thankfully I got it resolved pretty simply.
