"By default you are not allowed to setup a separate wallpaper for your Lock Screen and home screen on BlackBerry 10 OS. If you go to Setting and choose one picture to use, it will show for both of them. If you would like to make one wallpaper for your lock screen and another one for lock screen, one of the best solution is to use Screen Lock App for BlackBerry."

I'm not looking for 2 different wallpapers, my problem is that for some reason when I change the wallpaper, only the homepage wallpaper reacts to the change...while the lock screen stays on the same wallpaper I set a while ago.

That's very odd. It should change on both screens. Did you try a reboot?

Did you set up parental controls??? If it is ON you have two separate wallpapers one for lock screen another for when the phone is unlocked.

Yes I do have parental controls set up on this phone. So that being the case how do I change the lock screen wallpaper.

I can change the unlocked screen by going into settings, but can't figure out how to change the lock screen one

(what does wallpapers have to do with parental controls?)

Wait. I don't hold the password to my parental controls, so does that mean every time I want to change the wallpaper I have to go to that person to unlock my wallpaper????

Best way I can explain it go to settings, security and privacy, parental controls turn this OFF then set your wallpaper to what ever you want your "lock screen" to be, once that's done again go to settings, security and privacy, parental controls turn this ON then set your wallpaper again this will be the wallpaper when your phone is unlocked. Two wallpapers and I don't know why or how it has to do with parental controls but it works...

So if I need to use parental controls for its real use, I MUST have two wallpapers (one that I can't change without the password)?

Is there anyway to have the parental controls on and also be able to change the lock wallpaper?

Read what I posted above you if you want to change the "lock screen" wallpaper and you don't have too you can simply apply the same wallpaper and it will be the same.

I know it will be the same, but I like to change my wallpaper every so often and like it to be consistent on the lock and homescreen.

Then the only solution would be to switch parental controls every time you want to switch both wallpapers.

Oh wow what a pain. Thanks for your help at least I know why it's doing that now.

Now I just want to rant about why blackberry thought that someone who wants to lock certain features on their phone would want to give up the freedom of being able to change their wallpaper...and what security has to do with wallpapers. uch.

Why would parental controls even do that? Is it a bug? Is there a way to get the two seperate wallpapers without parental controls being on?

This is another thing they'll hopefully add in an OS update. It doesn't make sense to have such parameters while only under parental controls, but not on the regular wallpaper setting.

Yeah. Its kinda complicated for some people but here it is

    1) choose a wallpaper (for your lockscreen) don't worry it'll be on both screens (home and lock)
    2) type in parental controls or go to it from the settings
    3) enable parental lock (completely safe) DONT FORGET THE PASSWORD (do something like your BlackBerry password)
    4) go to the homescreen and all your apps order will be messed up (rearrange if you wish)
    5) change your wallpaper (this will be your home screen wallpaper)
    6) ENJOY!!!

Ps you can enable and disable parental controls and it won't reset it's like BlackBerry balance without the stuff...

    Hope I helped!
