I rely on custom contact notifications during the day or evening to tell me that I've received a critical email. But at night, when using the clock app in bedside mode, I only want to receive phone calls. In bedside mode I want the device silent until the alarm goes off or somebody calls me.

This was possible with my old Bold, but I can't figure out how to do it with the Q10. Is it possible, or do custom contact notifications override everything?

I believe in Settings/notifications/bedside mode. At least on the Z30 that choice works for me.

This is for OS 10.3.2.xxxx:
Within the Clock app, swipe down from the top and select Clock Settings.
Tap Bedside Mode Notification Settings.
Switch off:

• Sound
• Vibrate
• Instant Preview
• LED

Switch on:

• Notify During Calls

Then tap Customize App Notifications.
Go through the list and turn off anything you don't want disturbing you.
In your case, everything but Phone.
