I would like to sync the calendar my Q10 with my new Windows 8 laptop, but the i cannot even select calendar sync in the BB Link software. I have the the latest updates for both Link and the Q10.

I do have a google account, but do not have most of my calendar. Up until now, i have made most of calendar entries right into my phone.

    Advice please

You are absolutely right! I also miss the opportunity to synch my device with the BB link. There is no way to get it done! I am really not a fan of the new BB link. The main thing is that there is no way to synch your BLACKBERRY-Emails from the Q 10 with the link. Blackberry was not able to establish a system within the Link to provide a Email agent or call it a email programm just for the Blackberry. That would be the key to success! But they do not accomplish this.

I don't use hotmail, as i said, my main calendar entries are done right on my Q10. i actually have google accounts and yahoo, but i prefer to use my phone for my calendar.

so i take it there is no simple way to sync a Q10 and Windows 8

I set my default calendar account to GMail, but it would be nice if I could set it to local and have it sync with both gmail and hotmail calendars.

I don't understand this thread. My BlackBerry Link has the option to sync Calendar with my computer. Yours doesn't?

Import into outlook, or use a third party program like companion link with dejaview.

Companion link with dejaview has worked for me thru all platforms and can link to computer easily and effortlessly. Give it a test run! And you can even sync via wifi!
