Yesterday I dropped my Z10 while I was riding the bus to work. It happened to hit the floor in such a way where the screen shattered even with the protective case. I (first) checked Craigslist to see if there were any used BlackBerry 10 devices, but there weren't any GSM devices to choose from. I then went to the AT&T store to see if they happened to have any Z10s in stock. They didn't. They didn't have any BlackBerry devices. So I turned to Amazon. Originally I looked for a Z30 and then a Z10, but found a Q10 that would guarantee next-day delivery even though it was already 2PM, so, I bought the Q10. Did I mention that I have a business trip coming up on Monday and need the phone FAST? The AT&T stores here in Denver, CO, USA no longer carry BlackBerry devices, for now -- though the one I visited yesterday mentioned that they will have the AT&T version of the Passport once it's available.

This is actually my first ever BlackBerry with a physical keyboard! Looking forward to trying it out -- I never owned a legacy BBOS device or anything prior to my Z10. I figure that if I like it, maybe I'll eventually get a Passport. Just wanted to share my somewhat odd journey to becoming a new Q10 owner!

Anyway... lol, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. I used the z10 as a loaner while my q10 was getting repaired, so I've been able to try both out. Although I do love the screen real estate on the z10, I cant do without a physical keyboard. Enjoy it!

Thanks! So far I'm really enjoying it. I'll have to get used to the physical keyboard but overall it's great. It's a lot smaller in-person than I thought it would be!

I think a lot of issues regarding the lack of screen space can be solved by either 1 of 3 things:

    1. Newest 10.3.1 update that allows more icons on the homepages.

    2. Reducing the text size if it doesn't bother you.

    3. Learning shortcuts with the physical keyboard.

It may not be the be all end all solution, but it does help out quite a bit.

    Enjoy the Q10 friend!

Glad you love the phone! The keyboard shortcuts make it pretty nice to get around on the phone.

Wish you were here near me. I wanted a z10 housing as I have broken my z10's bottom corner.
Shipping would also not possible I guess.

Welcome aboard. My first Q10 developed the double typing issue. I sold it and got a multitude of devices in attempts to fill the void. I have since switched back to the Q10 and couldn't be happier.

Thanks! So far, so good. Still getting used to the keyboard but overall I really like the Q10! Battery life has been fine, so far, and maybe a bit better than my Z10, actually.

For what it's worth, the listing on Amazon claimed that the Q10 that I bought was a SQN100-1, but it's actually a 100-5, which is working fine for me on AT&T.

One other difference is that my Z10 included crappy plastic headphones but my Q10 included the premium headphones, so that was a nice surprise.
