Brightness display
I started using my q10 after using my z10 for six months in preparation of the BlackBerry Passport thinking that software updates would have addressed issues I had with the q10 in the first place. Double tap is still in issue at times, no control of brightness display and other than that I like that software changes have kept the q10 close to the z10. Is anyone else having these issues?

Brightness display? settings/display?

Brightness sucks big time indeed. There's hardly any difference between max and min. Too bright at night and too dull in the sunshine.

Coming from my last phone (Motorola Photon Q) I like the Q10's brightness. Daytime is easier to see than my Motorola was, and I like the brightness of the screen at night.

IMO there indeed is a difference between minimum and maximum brightness. I have the slider configured to show in my quick settings so I can easily adjust it as I need it. Having said that, my Lumia 1020 alsoo sports a SuperAMOLED screen and is, even without the sunshine boost feature, clearly brighter than the 'berry.
Double-typed and posted with a BlackBerry Q10.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that I read details about the Q 10 brightness selection. The reason why you are not seeing a difference is because of the setting you were in. If it was dark out or your under your covers you notice a huge difference.
I think it is because that adjustments is for the times when the sensor detects if your in sunlight or darkness.
Anyway, I have no problem with it I keep mine a little less than mid way, and my battery life is an easy day with moderate use and the screen is bright enough for me.

No need to worry as this is fixed in 10.3 (pixel burn/extreme brightness) is available and is very different from your normal q10 10.2.1 display adjustments
