    Hi!

Just bought brand new Q10 White. It was updated to 10.3.2.2474 but I can't update to 10.3.3 automatically as I done some months before with my old Q10 smoothly.
Where is the problem? How can I get 10.3.3 updated to my new Q10?

    Thanks!

My opinion: stay on the 10.3.2. The problem I've read about 10.3.3 here seem to outweigh the gains. Know that if you go to 10.3.3 you can not go back to 10.3.2

I would have to agree based on my experiences.

In my case the update got rid of the low volume bug and the phone seems snapier. One thing i notice but it can be other factors is that reception is better in the same ambients. I was relutant to update but i was frustated with the low volume notifications and i have two q10 in box so i give it a go and all got right. Was using the passport but this little thing keeps asking me to use it!

Honestly, my q10 seems snappier than my passport sometimes and I prefer the alt keys, and autocorrect method. The q10 really shows its age in things like device search tho

True... i'd love to see a "q10" with a better cpu like the z30 and 3gb ram.

Thank you. Good to learn someone had a positive experience and was able to correct the "sound gate"....

I might do the same - I still have some unopened. Perhaps try again. As I wrote elsewhere will have upgrade eventually as there will come a day when there are no more. And that will be a sad as it will finally be the end of BB.

Again, good to hear a positive response.

Could not agree more about the alt keys, etc on the PP. I wanted to use one as I did like the concept, even with a non-removable battery, however, the alt keys, the ability to switch between languages, etc. make the Q the solution for m.

Oh, there are many of us. Sometimes, I believe we are the silent majority....Absolute no proof, however.

My ideal would be upgraded processes, "smiley keys" and keep all the other good things like removable battery . . . Alas, the shipped has not only sailed, but sunk. Won't happen.

They should have given the classic a spec bump when they released it. And maybe a removable battery. They knew that it would be a niche phone and at least that would make most users happier.

It's less than a month old. What is your definition of "old"? ;-)

My experience is that 10.3.3 is a good thing. Low notification volume bug is fixed, browser much better that 10.3.2. As with all BB10 OS installs/upgrades, do this via Link or autoloader, not OTA.

Depends. For some, they'd consider a thread approaching a month to be old, but I guess in this case it's really not too old.

That's the problem right there; people shouldn't have to use links and autoloaders to get a functioning update. The OEM should have done more to respond to the bugs and issues, by releasing a fixed OTA.

Are you positive that the low notification volume issue has been corrected? Do you have any links to back up this statement? No offence meant.

I posted a whole new thread on this forum after I upgraded, because I was so pleased. I had had the low volume problem since 10.2.x, and it actually led me to stop using the Q10 for a while.

I should maybe qualify the statement by saying "...low volume issue is fixed FOR ME"
My point is that it worked for me, and it might be worth others, who have become dissatisfied with their otherwise excellent Q10, giving this autoloader a go.

Sadly, I have to report that my upgrade to 10.3.3* hasn't resulted in any (obvious) improvement in volume of notifications.
Of course, there are several variants of the Q10, so as they say, your mileage may vary .

Yup, that's why I realised I should qualify my initial statement. From the multiple different posts on this topic, it is clearly a very problematic bug to replicate and resolve. Presumably that's why BB never really released a definitive statement on the matter, as they simply didn't have the resources to fix it.

I got my Q10 about a month ago, and it came with 10.1.0.273. When I try to update it, either in Settings or BB Link, it tells me that I already have the latest software. Any suggestions? I've done some browsing on this site and found a thread about two years old where several posters reported a similar problem, but I didn't see any responses.
