Blackberry Q10. Whilst in locked mode if a call comes in display will show on screen but no sounds. Why is this happening?

Pressing the volume keys makes no difference. A phone icon with a slash through it is displayed on the right hand side of the screen, pressing this only dulls the icon. This only occurs whilst in locked mode.
