I disagree. The 9900/9930 may look a little dated compared to the Q, but the build quality definitely is more apparent. The metal surround and metal buttons look more quality than a plastic case phone. That metal trim has saved mine on more than one occasion. I like the Q, but to me and several in my office, it's the cheaper looking phone.

Not in my opinion. It's obvious that both are encircled with a metal band, and the chrome frets of the 9900 keyboard is incomparable to the stainless steel on the Q. The elimination of the nav buttons and the trackpad gives it a more cohesive and seamless look too. As for the back, the matte surface will draw less attention to scratches as on the plastic of the 9900. The 9900 is without a doubt a beautiful phone, but the Q10 really takes it to the next level. Not only will it look premium, it'll feel even better.

The Q10 looks nice because it's ALL BLACK! And the materials seem more solid! The 99xx will always be the best Legacy BlackBerry! It was the best phone up until BB10 came out. I'm excited to see what the Q10 has to offer. It's looking pretty nice! Hopefully it performs nicely as well!

Great photos. The look of the Q10 has grown on me but I am surprised and disappointed at how it is shaped so simliarly to the 9900. I thought BB would go for a slightly different look, such as sharper corners or maybe moving the logo to a different position to make the phone look different and new.

nice comparison. They both have their pros and cons. Bold= nice brushed metal look.....not a big deal losing that.

Over all Q10 is the one for all the BB lovers. Only one small requirement: Cant Blackberry make the 2 ugly micro USB and another socket disappear?! IMHO they are not refine at all.

Well, I at least hope that...
1. The article IS accurate about the April release date.
2. That keyboard shortcuts INCLUDES the ability to launch basic apps with a simple press of the L (calendar), U (calculator), D (notes), M (messages), etc.

What are you talking about? Only the buttons are made of plastic. The only difference is that the metal is now black.

And that black metal makes it look cheaper. We are talking "looks" and to me the Q looks to be the cheaper phone. That's my opinion, live with it.

I like the way the frets extend to the outside edges, that looks cool to me. I'm a little worried about what will happen to the finish on the SS ring when I drop my phone the first time. Stainless steel doesn't come in black so there is a coating of some sort and if that chips/scratches off it might destroy the all-black look that I like. Time (and events) will tell I guess.

Meh, I had the opposite thought: To me the Bold looks like a better-quality build, especially with that metal edge. Would miss the ability to drop my Bold into a charging dock.

Hate to say this but I would love to run OS 7 on this Q-10 phone. Nicer looking phone with more battery and WITHOUT all this HUB Crap.

Personally I think I'll be lost for a long time without the touch pad and curser.

Does anyone actually know if OS7 will run on the Q10 phone?

Trackpad makes this a must buy.
No trackpad makes it a much easier pass for the Z10.
