Just put a piece of tape on the battery and repeat as required till it fills the gap between the back of the door and battery.

The early Q10's on YouTube - pre release had a foam pad on the batteries. Maybe the battery holding fixtures wasn't there then?

Yeah that's what I did.. stuck some paper in and closed the batt door. Waiting for a case to buy, hopefully that'll fix up the issue of it being loose/hollow

That's because the early batteries were only 1800 mAH. They needed that foam because the pre release batteries were physically too thin. The retail batteries come with 2100 mAH and as a result are thicker, eliminating the need for the foam placeholders.
