Rocking my Q5. Too bad the Q5 forums ain't that active as the PP and Q10 forums.

It's always nice to go back to a clicky, tactile experience after months of tapping on a glass slab.

Had this lil baby for 3 years and it still runs like a dream.

Loving my Q5 as well. Still more than capable as a daily driver phone. It makes me more productive actually because I'm not mindlessly browsing around and using apps when I'm at work and out.

Yep! Anyway, I still have my regular android phone and iPad as my other devices. When I pullout my Q5, I mean business.

@Newfangled: Nice video. You missed one lovely thing about the Q10 battery bundle: In a pinch, you don't have to swap out the old battery for a new one at all. When you plug the case into the Q10, the little cord there lets you flip the case around to the back of the phone so that you can hold the case and phone plugged together in one hand! You can use the phone with an external fully-charged battery as if it's all one device, and it's comfortable. I do this all the time when I travel, or if I'm going to be gone all day/evening without an easy way to keep my Q10 charged.

Funny with the Q10 and the Classic, I really don't think faster. I mean, that was the whole point for me. I wanted a simpler, less complicated experience. I like the simplicity of the hub. I'm jumping from apps and the browser is not the most dynamic.

On the Classic vs. Q10 - for me, I like the slightly larger size and the dedicated keys to make and end calls.
Indeed, that toolbelt is handy because that end call button closes windows/apps, too!

I know, eh? I've gone from q10 to Z30 to passport, nexus 6P, PRIV, KEYone, and I am seriously looking to enjoy the Q10 since I reworked one for my son. Simple and elegant all in one.

The "strong points" to the Q10 are a great physical keyboard, INTERCHANGEABLE BATTERY, and physical size. These advantages are ignored by many in looking for "something new."
Guess what, new is not always better!

Still using my Q10, though since the update to 10.3.3.2137, my battery goes from 100% down to 20% in approx 12h. I love this phone and its size and don't want to give it up. If this battery drain keeps going, though, I may have to. Looking at the Keyone, but Bell wants what feels like the equivalent of my paycheque for a monthly plan.

I went through a thing where I thought the os it shipped with was better performing, but I like the overall look of 10.3 Way better and they seemed to have ironed out most of the kinks

It's crazy how quickly life circumstances can change sometimes.

About a week and a half ago I learned that I would be taking on a new role with some significant responsibilities and time commitment at my church (we have a lay ministry made up of volunteers who all have "day jobs"). Much of my free time has been preoccupied with preparing for this new role, so I had to stop tinkering with my Q10, which is not (currently) my daily driver.

But it has been sitting quietly in its swivel holster on my dresser. Taunting me. Begging me to turn it on, if only to type something on its brilliant keyboard.

I finally caved just now and my thumbs are getting their fix.

Me too! I have both the white and the black Q10, but now I'm hunting for a cheap black unit and a white frame to make my own 9900-style Q10 mashup!

I wouldn't buy one if it ran Android, unless it was a forked version of Android with all of Google's tracking software removed.

Can't you buy a new battery? Or are you having the issue with bad contacts?

There are similar problems sourcing an OEM NX1 battery in the UK.
The spare battery for my Q10, which I use with the charger pack, is swollen and I'm looking for a replacement unit. It is however proving difficult to find something from the usual sources (Amazon, Ebay etc.) that I can believe is the 'genuine article'

    I probably would!
I'm certainly no fan of Android but a 'modernized' version of the Q10 (or even better, the 9900) would be infinitely preferable to the oversized KEYone that I'm using to make this post.
Sadly it's a choice between Android or iOS in 2018, and I really can't see iOS getting ported to any pkb BlackBerry device, ... well, at least, not in my lifetime
