No, BB10 updates are still tied to the carrier.

The exception is that with an unlocked BB10 device, you may be able to remove your SIM card, restart, and then receive the highest update direct from BlackBerry for your device model.

Just installed the update on both my Q10 and Z10. Was disappointed it wasn't 10.3, but everything works well. No issues with bluetooth connection or notifications. Browser seems a little faster

I just got the update notification to 10.2.1.3062 on MTN in Nigeria. It was only 30MB and so far I haven't seen any changes but I hope it cures the "double typing" I seemed to be having over time. The typing feels seamless so far...I was hoping to see something really cool after the update.

This update immediately killed notifications for SMS on my Q10 (Rogers). No Led, no audible, no spark. Pulled battery, no help. Any ideas?

Since I loaded this update, it killed my SMS notifications too.. The rest worked fine like FB, Wechat, Email notifications. I pulled batt, drained batt then reboot to no avail.. Help!!!

I'm using Glo. You shouldn't expect any cool changes especially when 10.3.1 is just around the corner.

FYI: the changelog in the update notification is actually the changelog for 10.2.1.3175. Everything since is just incremental changes not worth a changelog.

I'm also in the queue for the SMS fix. SMS notification is one of the very basic and shall not get broken that easily but unfortunately it is the case as mentioned in other posts as well.
