    The BlackBerry assistant voice response has stopped working. I have went into setting and turned it on however it failed

    I found a fix in a different thread for this problem. I changed the voice from English US to English UK then restarted the phone. It's working again, just with the UK accent, which is fine with me.

    I also found a fix on another device forum.
    My BB Q10 assistant lost her voice today. I took the suggestion I found on the Passport forum to uninstalled Evernote and assistant got her voice back. Someone might want to check that out.

    Same thing happened to my z10. You can switch the voice back to English US after restarting the phone.

    When this issue occurred, did you try rebooting BEFORE switching or uninstalling? I'm asking because you ended up rebooting (restarting) your device anyway.

    Yes I did rebewb. Both with the power button and the volume keys. What I found was when you switch the language, and then reboot, it worked.

    But wait! That's not all! There's more!

    With the Assistant now talking to me in her sultry British accent, I went back into Assistant settings. I set it back to English (US). I then saw a message pop up saying I had to wait for the language change to take effect (which I didn't see the first time). And now it works with English (US).

    So I'm suspecting that the initial change and reboot cleared some user data that was cached and then allowed it to work as intended.

    First I tried to reboot without changing the language, but that didn't work. It was only after changing the language, rebooting, then changing it back to English US that the assistant started working again.
