i just got my Q10 today and i set up my bbm and everything but the thing is, it only lets me send bbms if im connected to wifi it shows the bbm thing in the top right and when i turn off wifi the bbm symbol goes away so does the wifi symbol did i hit somthing by accident?

Must be something with your carrier, call them and tell you of your situation.

i jsut got it today before the black berry i had data blocked but on the black berry they said they unlocked it and gave me 150

Who is your carrier? A call to their support might be the best thing to do.

Ask your dad to give them a call and let them know that you can only use BBM over wifi. They will help him solve the problem and adjust your plan accordingly.
